Field Service Technician (MCP, A+)

Fun, unique, rewarding position for a disciplined, talented and motivated Microsoft Certified Professional.

This position is ideal for someone already working in a similar capacity for a computer services company looking for a much better opportunity. A better opportunity could mean better pay, better clients or newer technology. This position is also ideal for someone in the industry looking to move back to the Delaware Valley.

Our focus is customer service and the Field Service Technician is our face to our clients. The position requires day travel from 8-5, organization and self discipline. Once trained the position is highly independent as you will be working at various client sites in Delaware and nearby Pennsylvania. The duties of the position are: providing customer service excellence, client communication, installation of desktops, migration of client data, troubleshooting and support for LANS, routers and Internet connectivity.

Requirements

  • MCP, A+, Network+ or equivalent
  • Customer service excellence

Microsoft Systems Engineer (Sherpa Engineer)

We identify and solve the toughest IT services challenges before they are even noticed, versus waiting for something to break and then fixing the problem.  MySherpa keeps IT functions running smoothly so clients don't have to worry and maintain focus on customer-facing business and revenue generation. 
 
The duties of a Microsoft Systems Engineer at MySherpa are: engineering, planning, installation, troubleshooting and support for Microsoft server infrastructures.  This position requires day travel within greater Wilmington and Brandywine Valley areas of Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.

Suitable candidates will be expert in Microsoft Server Systems, Server/PC Hardware, IP Networking and related technologies. This team member will be someone who enjoys a 50/50 balance working closely with clients to build rapport and best understand their technology problems and create suitable resolution plans through technology, training or work process to create viable, long term solutions.  

Suitable candidates must have excellent written and verbal skills as communicating with clients and team members is a critical aspect of delivering award winning service. 

You will work among a team of specialists who are experts in their respective fields: networking, desktop support, project management.  A suitable candidate will thrive in an environment with much autonomy yet being accountable for results as part of our service team.  You will need to be a self-starter, confident problem solver and will excel at critical thinking. 

A suitable person is someone that has experience determining if a problem should be solved through repairing in-place or replacing with a more suitable solution.  This important balance often dictates if the client feels their money was spent appropriately and how satisfied they are with our solutions.

Required Experience:

    • MCSE Windows Server 2003 / 2000 (DNS, DHCP, FTP, ISA, SQL & IIS)
    • 4+ years supporting Microsoft Servers.  2+ years in a field service role versus corporate IT support
    • Bachelor or Associates Degree from an accredited institution required.
    • MCSE + Messaging - Exchange Server 2007 / 2003 / 2000
    • MCDBA SQL Server 2005 / 2000
    • Terminal Services
    • Windows Mobile Active Sync
    • SharePoint Server 2007 / 2003
    • Dell & Compaq Server hardware
    • Firewalls, routers and switches ** CCDP, CCNP, CISSP, (Cisco, Sonicwall, etc.)
    • Expert desktop experience with Windows XP Pro & Office 2003 / 2007
    • Cisco Certification Preferred
    • Background check required (criminal, drivers, credit)
